Consider looking on audible. They have a huge selection of books in all languages. These books are all in audio format though. I don't know what kind of format you're looking for, but if you want a text EBook, then try kindle/Amazon. It's pretty accessible. If you have an iPhone, iBooks is another option you could perhaps take advantage of.

You might also look up Project Guttenberg.

Services like audible and kindle/Amazon are not free. It would've been nice if one could read an e-book and send it back to the library in some way. The book would be mainstream. I'm not sure if such libraries exist though. There used to be something called truly free e-books. Can't remember its full name. It had some interesting titles. I'm not sure about the legality, but I enjoyed it. Someone posted about it a while back. That's all I know for now.

Unsure what current changes www.ccel.org has undergone. Christian Classics Ethereal Library is what it's called. I frequented this website many years ago and never paid attention to anything but the excellent catalog of free downloadable books and other material. So whatever possible affiliations, positions and religious overtones the people who run it may promote/espouse- they might be Satanists for all I know - I have no idear. I remember being able to search the entire text of any given book. Again, I'm not sure how accessible the site is since I was using magnification at that time. Probably not what you're looking for but perhaps others might find it interesting/useful.

here in the UK, local councils have free online libraries where you can download Ebooks and audio books. For people with print disabilities, there is also the Listening Books audio library, which they may be able to use for free. The RNIB has a free library with books in all formats. All these options also provide access to a catalog which enables you to borrow audio books which will be sent to you or in the case of local authorities, available for you in your local library. Another option in the UK for Ebooks which are accessible, is Seeing Ear.

There may be equivalent options to some of the above in other countries.
